[Ansteorra-rapier] C&T Armor Requirements

Greetings from your friendly neighborhood C&T Marshal.

At War of Ages, we had a brief meeting with regards to possible future
Society-level changes in the C&T armor requirements. These requirements
have not hit the page yet, and are unlikely to do so for the next six
months. However, these changes are likely coming, and specific details will
become available soon.

On the table were - required rigid hand protection, required full hand
protection in the case of weapons that lack a guard that defends the hand
(so, for example, if you use a longsword or arming sword, you will need
full gauntlets); Wrist protection, and collarbone protection (think of a
wide Spanish collar as an example). There are of course going to be some
questions about specifics (for example, is a Knuckle Bow enough, or will we
need to figure out how to get a full gauntlet into a knuckle bow, etc etc).
Master Robert MacPharland will produce details as the time draws near and
things get discussed.

Of more immediate concern is leather back-of-the-head protection. Please be
aware that 8oz leather is not strong enough on it's own. Leather of any
weight *must* be hardened to be legal. From this point forward,
non-hardened leather is not enough for areas requiring rigid protection,
and will not pass inspection.

Thanks!

Mateo
