<P><FONT size=2>In addition to all the other fun to be expected at Guardian this
April 14, there will also be an SCA Cut&Thrust class, approved by Master/Don
Modius, after the tournament. This will likely occur at the same time as the
White Scarf circle, so as to maximize the time between the tournament and Circle
for the White Scarves have for pickup fights and instruction. Apologies to any
WS's who might wish to attend the class, but if time can be found for individual
(or small group) training and instruction, then I will try to accommodate any I
can.</FONT></P>
<P><FONT size=2>The class will be a beginning-level class for Cut&Thrust in
the SCA. It will be very similar to the one Aeron Harper taught at Steppes
Warlord last year. We will be covering the rules and armor/equipment
requirements for C&T in the SCA and Ansteorra, discuss the history of
sidesword, and learn the basics from two of the most popular masters of the
time,<SPAN class=750321000-05042007> </SPAN>Marozzo and dall'Aggoc<SPAN

required for all. Pads, helmet, and the additional armor requirements for
Cut&Thrust will not be needed as the class will be employing slowly executed
drills with no contact intended. There will be a limited supply of loaner
blades, but any 35"-45" Darkwood, Del Tin, or Angus Trim rapier, bated rapier,
sidesword, or backsword will work, though one around 35"-37"</FONT></P>
