That would make Mistress Serena's fighting skills worth more than many fencers, even though she has never actually fenced. (She received the QR for her many years of service to the rapier community.) </font></p><p class="MsoNormal"><font size="2"><br></font></p><p class="MsoNormal"><font size="2">In an early Gulf War, the fencing war point was fought WS against WS, red scarf against red scarf, and non-scarved against non-scarved. This was intended to make the fights even, but it put a new fencer with four months experience against a fencer who didn't want to be anybody's cadet, but whose fencing was the equal of the top half of the White Scarves.</font></p><p class="MsoNormal"><font size="2"><br></font></p><p class="MsoNormal"><font size="2">And there are always a couple of White Scarves who've been gone for awhile, and are trying to get back into fighting trim.<br></font></p><p class="MsoNormal"><font size="2"><br></font></p><p class="MsoNormal"><font size="2">So stop trying to find out the "fair" way to make the weights; it doesn't exist. This is an arbitrary game to make the tourney harder for the top fencers.
