[Ansteorra-textiles] wool fabric with lanolin

You can spin wool 'in the grease' and then weave or knit it and it will still
have the lanolin in it. You might also want to do this to make fabric that is
more water repellant. A cloak or cape out of greasy wool would keep you very
dry, even if it did smell a little.
There are also ways of cleaning the wool without removing all the grease so
that some remains. This can leave a very soft wool, with only a slight sheepy
smell.

I'll be interested to see this, Gwenneth. I have used wool scraps also
(just figured that people in this climate are more likely to have flannel
than wool), but by the time it's fabric, isn't most if not all of the
lanolin gone? Or am I missing a fact?
