This is the one in the back of the little shopping center
just NW of 38th and Medical Pkwy, almost across the street
from Seton Hospital. There's a Mexican restaurant next to
it whose name I can't recall off-hand. You may be
thinking of a place on the east side of Lamar near 38th
that looks like it does machine embroidery.

Anyway, they have lots of silk and wool, as well as the
usual stuff like cotton floss. They have some linen (not
as much as I'd like), mostly heavier weight. When I was
starting a large blackwork project a few years ago, I went
in and bought an assortment of 6 or 8 different brands of
black silk to try out. They also have a number of racks
of very strange sparkly synthetic stuff which I've never
looked through, except in passing by.

They have quite a lot of cross-stitch patterns (again
something I haven't looked at), and they hold classes on a
regular basis. Not much in the way of notions, except for
a small selection of high-end embroidery scissors and
similar stuff.

They have a large black-and-white cat named Medici,
although I haven't seen him the last few times I've been
in.

The hours are limited, but they're open late on Thursdays,
til around 8:00 or so.
