_*THE BEARS AND THE BEADS*_

This full-day class will explore two three-dimensional aspects of
the feltmaking process using both wet-felting and felting needles.
BEARS: Small bears will be made as an example of the simple construction
of sculptural creatures using both wet and dry felting techniques.
Natural-colored carded wool batting will be used, and details will be
added to the finished bears using needle and thread.
BEADS: Learn the art of making felt beads for use as jewelry using both
wool and silk fibers. Various shapes will be made along with the
addition of exotic fibers for surface interest. Dyed merino fibers and
dyed silk fibers will be used to produce a selection of different beads.
