I think it's a great idea and I think people would be really interested. I 
would.  I also think you might put in a couple of history classes so that 
people could sit and listen while they practised some of their new 
things.  i know Mari's class on pictish costuming would lend itself really 
well to this type of class.
Also I did some reasearch on the use of cotton in Europe and the rise of 
paper making.  master Colin of Cumberland (who's now largely left the SCA) 
raises and works with silkworms.  I bet he might consider coming and 
teaching a class on silk worms, or something related.

I think textiles would be a great idea.  I'd support it and I know I'd help 
raise the interest.
