What would be a way to transport them? What kind of trailer would you
need? I have a Tahoe that can pull a trailer, but don't have a livestock
trailer handy.

Gerita and others,

I called the gentleman in question earlier today (Saturday).
He said he had received a total of three calls about the sheep. There
are two Ramboulet that are just under a year old (Born in May). The ewe
seems to be pregnant (comes from a line of twins), and the ram is around
200 or 250. He wants them gone because they have been pushing up the
chain link fence he has them in and getting into his apple orchard (they
have killed three trees so far). The ram seems to be the instigator,
with the ewe following for fun.

His wife doesn't want to get rid of them, they're pets in
her opinion. In his, there's no telling what they'll do next. Whoever
can come pick them up first is welcome to them.

Since it's only two sheep, I do have the space for them. I
can even convert the new shed into a sheep shed temporarily, until I can
get something specific up. Whether it's two sheep or four, (in a month
or two, How cute!) they should do well here.

If someone will help me by helping to figure out a sheep
rescue trip from his farm to my lot, I'd appreciate it. I'll give you
the first shearing, maybe more depending on the quality of the wool (and
how many I end up with by shearing time). I have no idea at this point
if they've been clipped before.

Is there anyone who lives near Waco and is headed
Wharton-way? Or is there anyone in Fort Bend County-ish who is headed to
Waco for fun and wouldn't mind a few passengers on the way back?

Thanks for at least letting me entertain the idea..

            Cassandra Starrswife (mka Kristine Keeney)
