I live in Spring and practice many of the fiber arts. Years ago I was an art teacher and instructed not only fine art but many needle arts as well. I miss those times.

Thanks for responding. To my mind people do creative things here in Ansteorra but they seem to do them individually. When this list started it was more active and people tried getting things going but it seems to have slid. I hate to ask to have the list closed but it seems that I generally get more spam than comments. I’d like to see something develop.

Where do you currently live? I’m from Bryn Gwlad. Several people have tried to get a fiber guild started here but it seems to not be very active. I know Mistress Rhiannon up in the Rosenfeld area does quite a bit with spinning.

King’s College is going to be held in Bjornsborg and I’d love to have some fiber type classes there.

Radegunde, are you in charge of organizing the classes for KC this year?

Hello, I'm a spinner of animal fibers and have been at it only about three years with half of that not spinning due to breast cancer. I am currently not an SCA-er but was some years ago in Meridies. It seems that Ansteorra and her people support the arts hardly at all, while, lots of support and fans with regards to fighting. When I moved here, I was hoping there were guilds to foster the gentler arts and sciences. If this list becomes a victim of apathy then let it die. There is no point in the fruitless effort of cpr on an already dead list. Pity. This list has been inactive since August. What are your opinions about discontinuing this list for non-activity?

Thoughts? If you want to keep it then what can we do to stimulate interest?

Regards,

Clare
