[Ansteorra-Textiles] New to Ansteorra, and without my fiber sources.

Being from Kingdom of the West and spoiled by the LA and SF fabric shops I can say I was fairly impressed with the wearhouse shops mentioned in the Dallas area. I have one suggestion though... if you are going in the hot months go early in the morning. Most of the warehouses don't have climate control and OMG we Kingdom of the West girls and our cousins to the south need gills in southern Ansteorra in the summer. (No slight on Tx)

Additionally welcome to Ansteorra! I am in Skorragardr (Shawnee, Oklahoma) If you are coming to Med Fair find me and say hi :D I will likely be with Namron's Baroness or the Royal Gauntlet Birds of Prey booth...

It's not the color of the Text but how you use it.

um....just a
hint........the Steppes Warlord event will be over Memorial Weekend about an
hour north and east of Dallas. (Canton, Texas)  If you can take the
time.......there are several semi-wholesale fabric sales places that serve the
designer market here. I'm afraid you won't find the kind of resources you had in
LA anywhere besides NYC....but we do the best we can.........and you can take
the cost of the trip off as a business expense

Hmmmm, well tulsa is about an
hour away, and I am gathering that I may need to start a merchanting booth to
get what I want at reasonable prices. ON the other hand this would have the
wonderful benefit of making going to events tax deductible as a business
expense.  Thank you for your help and good advice.

    most honored
    Lady
allow me to welcome you to
    Ansteorra

I fear you will find our broad
plains and green forests rather barren of textile merchants, especially
coming from the great markets and warehouses of  the fabled Barony of
    the Angels.

    My best suggestion would be
to travel to Tulsa (no idea the distance, just looking at a map and knowing
Tulsa is the nearest large city to you)

even here, in the Barony of
the Steppes (Dallas) we do not have the resources you are accustomed
to.  The major fabric stores are Hobby Lobby, Hancock, JoAnns and
whatever local fabric shops you can find.

    again,
    welcome

[Ansteorra-Textiles] New to Ansteorra, and without my fiber
      sources.

Good Morning to the good and gentle fiber
      artisans of Ansteorra.

I landed on the shores of this fair kingdom
      on Saturday and have
yet to locate anything in my area to replace my
      known and "local"
suppliers.  Since I have come from Caid's
      shores, it seems a better
and cheaper bet to develop sources in this
      kingdom.

So I'm asking, what is available to be had for a not very
      long drive
(hour and a half tops) from Nowata, Oklahoma?

My
local Barony is Northkeep and I am south of Chemin
      Noir.

Help?
