I spin flax off a distaff. Is not too difficult to get used to. Although,

dressing the distaff well is very important.<br>

I might suggest starting with rovings of linen tow first, as it is shorter

fibers and easier to spin than flax line. <br>

<br>

I purchased hanks of combed, ready to spin flax from Halcyon. They look like

blonde horse tails. <br>
