textiles are so very fragile, we have few pieces left to record garments or
accessories. My first SCA cloke, was quilted. Silk lining, wool batting
and wool surface. I tended to shock everyone I touched, from static electricity.
: ) Chair covers, pillows, throws (lap quilts...events get
chilly in the cooler seasons) . I'm impressed that you're doing hand quilting,
although Jinny Byers says that she sews just as fast by hand, as by machine
(with those incredible intricate quilts that she wins shows with) I'll
look foreward to meeting you at the next war.</FONT></SPAN></DIV>
