Filk is only unfoutunate if you do it poorly.  Most of our Ansteorran
"Classics" are filk.  Filk is even period.  True 90% of filk is crap,
but then 90% of everything is crap.  Filk is a perfectly valid art form
and no Bard should have to apologize for it, provided they take the time
to do it right.
