Wierd?  "Wierd"?  Is that how they teach you to spell in Northumbria?  Do
you spell Saxon as "Son of Sack"? Do your heroes cleave their foemen with
their "sacks" and take their "lute"?

As any Norseman can tell you, it should be spelled "Wyrd".
