[Bards]What's your favorite piece

I posted something regarding this yesterday, and felt a bit silly doing
it, since all the other postings regarding this were probably in a month
ago. (I'm very far behind on checking my e-mail) So I feel even more silly
adding something about this today, but I thought I'd like to share my
favorite original poem of my own. (yesterday I told about my favorite
original story)
My only SCA poem I have written is "We Will Meet Again", which I wrote ten
years ago for a high school assignment, and when I joined the SCA, I
realized it would be appropriate for Bardic. It's about deep friendship,
and how a young man gives his life for his best friend, without a second
thought. I recited it at the last Margrave bardic, and could barely keep
from bursting into tears while I told it---although I think the reason for
that is I was 2 days away from giving birth! This poem kind of reflects my
own thoughts on friendship; I haven't had too many very close friends in
my lifetime, but the ones I have, I'd do just about ANYTHING for, and if
someone does something very nice for me, I never forget it. I'm in the
middle of writing my first poem specifically for the SCA, and if you want
to hear it, come to Samhain this year.
Several of my other favorite pieces by other bards include "The Wabbit
Bewongs to Me" by Robert (I'm surprised he can sing that with a straight
face!), "Harold the Herald" and a beautiful but sad poem that Lady Lilas
just wrote last week, so I don't remember the title. We must get her to
perform it as soon as possible!
Vivat Bards!
