Alden,

As many of us write filks, what's the position on publishing of such?
My concern is the copyright issues that may arise from the use of
certain tunes, ie, those that are not in the public domain.

> Hey folks,
> If you are planning to submit something for "Voices of the Star" (the
publication formerly known as "The Ansteorran Bard Book(let)", don't
hesitate! September is almost upon us, and the due date for
submissions is October 1. There's just a little over a month left.
Currently, the book has 7 songs and 15 poems, contributed by 12 bards.
>
> To submit an article, you need to send it to me, along with a letter
of permission to publish it, your contact information (SCA name,
mundane name, address, email, phone) *which will be published in the
back of the book*, and if you send a song, I request either a recording
of the song, or the written music.
>
> I prefer written music, but if you can't provide it, I have one
person who has agreed to help me write the music from recordings. If
anyone else can write music from a recording, I could use your help as
well.
>
> The book will be available at the Ansteorran Bardic Collegium, which
is to be held at Rosenfeld's Three Kings event in November. For
additional collegium information, please contact Dona Antonia, Master
Pendaran, or myself. We're all subscribed to this list, so it's easy
to find us.
