  Subject: [Bards] A new sonnet

It's been some time since I've written anything but I was recently
inspired to write the following sonnet and thought that I would share it
here.
      Pendaran

  "Solace"

I used to feel dread fear of that sad day

When I shall cease to be. Though we may try,

Not one of us from death can turn away,

For in the end we all must surely die.

And yet sweet comfort do I find when I

Do look into those eyes so much like mine.

Away from me the fear of death does fly

And warmth embraces me like finest wine.

Yea once I lived in fear of mighty death,

Yet clearly now do I thus truly see

I need not fear the touch of his cold breath.

For now I know - immortal I shall be.

I know that in my son I shall live on

Long past the days when my poor shell has gone
