Anna: I thought your words were well thought out and well phrased, and I agree with everything you said.
Everyone: My hope is that there will continue to be both competitions which require documentation and those that don't. I think there is room for both in the kingdom and that each promotes bardic performance in its own way, as do bardic circles. I'd hate to lose the voice of those bards who have no interest in documentation or see them marginalized, but I also see merit in encouraging period styles and written support for such pieces. For Kingdom Eisteddfodd, I think the documentation rule as used this year was reasonable, though I might add a limit of 1 page maximum. I certainly would not promote bardic documentation 15 pages long. To me, documentation is merely support for a piece - the performance is the most important aspect.

Wow, I should probably not vent at 8:00 in the morning. It occurs to me
belatedly that perhaps I shouldn't have sent the last email. I would like
to apologize to Duchess Willow de Wisp and all those who read it, and
assure you that I really did not mean to offend.
On another note, I'd like to thank Eleanor Fairchild for her generous
complement on my documentation. I'm still blushing.
