[Bards] Wormy's surgery

Last night I heard from Claryce, who’s been in close contact with Elanor at
the hospital.  Here’s what she had to say to me.

 

“Wormy is now out of surgery. Surgery took 12 hours.  The graft was not as
bad as they expected - minor.  They had to repair 2 valves.  He is
responding.  His chest is still open, and will remain so until Sunday or
Monday.  The doctors need 48 hours before giving the thumbs up.   He had the
head of thoracic surgery doing his surgery, and the doctor said it is a
common surgery that he does.  It went as expected, but he does not want to
give false hope.  Wormy's mom is there and relaying messages to his family.
Matt and Beth (Matthias and Elanor) are there relaying messages to his other
family - us.  Wormy's not out of the woods yet, so everyone keep praying/
thoughts/ energy/ whatever to him for the next 48 hours.  I'm off to get
some sleep.”

 

Being down here in Houston, that’s all I can tell you, besides that I wish I
was closer.  Someone who can get to the hospital please tell him his brother
and his sister are thinking about him and we’ll get up there to see him if
we can.
