two quick things,

I have never thought of NOT going after the same title multiple times 
unless the rules of the event prevent it.

and:

When I won Wiesenfeuer (my first such championship), I swore to the 
baron that his barony and only his barony would be my bardic priority, 
meaning that I would not compete in any other competitions while I was 
his champion.
