Ah, ok.  I've gotten mixed messages from people in the community as to what
"bard/bardic" encompasses.  (light is now on).

Why not take it one step further - why limit it to Bards; why not a College
for Performance Arts?


When we generally speak of "Bards" we refer to those who practice bardic
arts (AKA performance arts), which, with the exception of dance, typically
includes, vocal, instrumental, dramatic, and physical arts.  I much prefer
to call myself a bard than a "performance artist". :)  However, some people
have a very traditional definition of "bard" and think we're crazy to call
ourselves such.  Some people prefer not to call themselves a bard, but
prefer a more specialized term (poet, musician, misnstrel, singer,
troubador...)
