Much goodness snipped.

Back in my early days a decade or two ago in An Tir, I relieved the person running the "nursery" in a room within the feast room, so the kids had a place to go and be and do. I went ahead and told stories -- with participation from the kids -- pretty basic stuff, like Beauty and the Beast. We had a great time, and when I left the room, I found about 15 adults gathered quietly by the door, including the person who I had been "breaking". They had all been there since I started telling the story, and "didn't want to miss the story" by interrupting. Beauty and the Beast had at that time recently been released by Disney, so pretty much everyone knew the ending!

  Never underestimate a classic!

They're right, you know. There aren't enough Beowulf stories. Anyone else excited about the upcoming movie?

From the beginning they have been
entranced with Arthurian tales, Beowulf, they used tell Beowulf and
the Transformers stories because they thought there should of been
more Beowulf stories, Chanson and Romances. They made me read them the
Death of Arthur 12th century romance the summer they were 10. There is
a funny story about that I will tell later. They loved the classics. I
know lots of people that do "children stories" for children, but I
have many SCA children come to me and tell me that they loved my
stories and used to follow me around. I believe a good story is
appreciated by all ages.
