[Bards] Eisteddfod as a stand alone event -- was Apologies

Hi everyone

Just got finished scanning the archives on the topic, really good
conversation all around.

I just wanted to throw a few more things out, a lot of them have already
been said, but I thought they were worth summarizing.

1. Broadening appeal is always a good idea. The last time this was
mentioned several people pointed out that Bards, Brewers and Cooks have
relatively little overlap or conflicting time demands, so an event that
catered to all three would have a wider base of support.

2. Without sounding too militant about it, several people suggested that
fighting... even unofficial pickups and practices on Sundays... be
seriously discouraged.

3. Given the nature of what we are talking about, a lot of people were
really upbeat about a indoor event, and if that could not be met, then
an event with lots of cabins. That seems to be the thought here as well,
and let me throw in my two cents worth of support for that priority list.

Okay, thats what I remember from way back when.

*Shrug*

Some questions of my own.

1.Has anyone talked to some of the larger households in-kingdom about
possible sponsorship or help? ( I'm not really advocating the idea, but
frankly I never asked one way or the other.)

2.Not distracting from the event idea, but are their any "bardic revels"
at the group or regional levels that take place with any regularity in
the kingdom? If so, they might be a good model for us to look at.
