[Bards] Kingdom A&S

Speaking for myself, I don't care for the notion, though I certainly
understand your reasoning.
It's not a bad idea, but it has some issues as I see it.
The Eisteddfod is just beginning to show new life again as a separate
activity. This last Eisteddfod showed real promise for the future, and
proved that we are already a strong, supportive community. I personally
intend to pursue the aspects of Eisteddfod that made it so successful
when I retire the title.
Also, a number of our performers are also artisans, scholars and
craftsmen in other arenas. Eisteddfod can be stressful enough without
worrying about a display or a paper.
Finally, I'm not a fan of moving Eisteddfod around the Kingdom, as
Kingdom A&S is wont to do. I like keeping it centrally located so that
travel is not much of a burden to our more far-flung minstrels and
orators.
Granted, these are my opinions, your mileage may vary.
If the bards want to pursue this, say so and I'll gladly get the ball
rolling, but I don't want to damage what may be a great future for
Eisteddfod without an large number of folks telling me to try it. I'll
strive to give you folks what you want.
I am surprised at the lack of Kingdom A&S entries for Performance,
however.
Is this due to the expectation of documentation?
Are performers avoiding it because the winners are expected to
represent Ansteorra at Gulf Wars? A number (more than three) seem
intent on going to the War, what are the reasons they aren't performing
at Kingdom A&S?
There's no shame in not competing, but I am curious as to the lack of
entries.
Anyone care to shed a little light?
