[Bards] bowing to the thrones

I started bowing to the thrones because of church tradition. In
Catholic/Episcopal tradition, if there is consecrated Body and Blood
reserved at the altar, then one should genuflect when entering a pew,
whether or not a service was in progress. You can tell if there is because
there is a red candle burning near where the Sacrament is kept. If there is
no red light, then one merely bows from the waist when entering the pew.
Since both of these observances involve bowing to "Presence," and both come
out of medieval tradition, it only made sense to me to apply what I knew
about one situation to the other.
