[Bards] Eisteddfod Discussion

No, that is not a Romulan war bird de-cloaking...it's just Tadhg.

I had the privilege last year of going to Known World Cooks and Bards.

Those two communities work well together at the KW level...I don't know why it wouldn't work here as well.

Just a thought.

Regards,
Tadhg

>Yeah, I was bad and totally spaced on my own meeting and showed up VERY late.  We had a brief discussion and there seems a bit more interest to hold Eisteddfod separate from Kingdom A&S in order to maintain the identity of Eisteddfod.  There was also some discussion about bidding Eisteddfod as a stand-alone event and maybe including some other activities for draw (like cooking, dance, etc).

>I believe the Shire of the Shadowlands is planning to submit a bid for Eisteddfod, in conjunction with our January event which is not yet on the Kingdom calendar, but soon will be. Was there any discussion at Round Table? I am sending this message to our event stewards as well, they may have more details available.

>Greetings all,
>Bids for Eisteddfod are due September 1.  Last year, no bids were received, so I coordinated with Their Majesties and the KMOAS to hold Eisteddfod at Kingdom A&S.  That worked out ok.  I got some feedback on what went well and what could be improved if we want to go with that option again.

>I'd like some input from Eisteddfod participants though.  Would performers be interested in having an Eisteddfod Discussion meeting at Round Table this weekend?  I'd like to discuss venues, participation, and support, and see what we can do to help improve Eisteddfod.  If people want to meet, I need to know quickly, if we're going to get on the Round Table schedule.
