I agreed with Alden. I think we don't need a patron. Our  problem in 
the past is we put too much on our relationship with the Crown. We a 
certain Crown didn't like what we were doing we lost our focus. Our 
Focus should be Ansteorra and Ansteorra's people. If the kingdom needs 
our nobles and peers to do their job, but it is "The Dream" of certain 
nobles to play around and behave badly we can't put the historical 
ideals on hold just to make the powerful happy. We can't stop telling 
the history of Ansteorra just because we are elevating some people to 
role models and this might make a current big shot not look as good. 
If the Kingdom Hostipaler is correct and people are only staying for 
Five years we need to be there telling people about the high ideals of 
our kingdom and getting them ready to take leadership roles in our 
kingdom as soon as possible. 
I believe we can take the Current Charter and the Current Ansteorra 
College of Bards and turn it into anything we want. Right now the 
Charter is just bones. It was done that way to let us start anew and 
have room to grow. It is not that way to limit us. We can flesh it 
out. We  can put purpose to it. We can take what we think is important 
from the Colleges of the past and make something strong and good.
