What is the count of messages now?

I am planning on making some bard sashes and giving them out. I also 
plan on wearing mine again. Not the one that had all the hash marks on 
it. It got left out of a door of a car and ruined and I didn't have 
the energy to keep the stuff up. Of course it became less fun when we 
didn't have the best of story, song, poetry and music awards. I liked 
them because it was nice to get some recognition.

I have been thinking about Bards/performers and recognition. We like 
awards and prizes just like everyone else, but if you are good 
bard/performer you get more than a scroll or goodies you get the 
respect of the people. It is the same "worship" that is referred to in 
ancient texts regarding the "good man or Bonn homme". It is what 
knights are suppose to strive for. It is intangible, but real. The 
peers can't give it to you, the  barons can't give it to you, the 
Crowns can't give it to you. Your fellow bards/performers can give 
some of it to you and the people can give it to you. One of the 
reasons that we need a "College" is so we can arrange teaching 
situations that will give us the skills to gain that position in the 
community of Ansteorra.
