You'll join because you want to. You'll join because you understand that joining the bardic college doesn't make you a bard, that's stuff inside you. The college should be able to help you find a way to be a better bard. Earlier in your notes you mentioned that a College makes it easier for Wallflowers/lurkers express themselves. I found this to be true. I know I am a forceful character, but when I was the working officer of the College of Bards many quiet folks came and expressed themselves to me. The College acted like a filter making everyone equal and allowing everyone to have their say. It seemed to me we had more open debates. At least it worked until I got to tired and became even more chaotic. Of course the personality of the working officer has a lot to do with the success of the movement. We really need people who will communicate with people. For example: We have a problem with the judging commentary at 3 kings. The people in the Bardic Mercenary Company came to me with their problems. I tried to explain the situation and most of them understood. Most of them expressed their desire for the people at 3 Kings to change the form that they are using. I plan to pass this information along to the people. The others I encouraged to express their concerns to the judges. People in Texas are mostly Southerner and they don't like to complain. It sounds like fussing to them but they would like polite ways to express themselves. It is important that we give them tactful ways of expressing themselves. willow ________________________________________________________________________ Try Juno Platinum for Free!
