Dear Finnican The problems with the Eisteddfod really started when we stopped having an officer whose duty was to promote it year round. It is like any event it does better with someone being able to talk to people and encourage people to take part. Many of the famous events in the past were had an autocrat and PR a year in advance. Someone who took their job seriously. Often the Working Officer of the College would have contacts with people for 2 years in the future. For example, yourself, you didn't have an officer that talked to people and were able to provide you with choices. You were expected to find a place and promote the event all by yourself. IF you start working right after you become Premier bard it takes you months to find someone willing to have it. I am a good organizer and my Eisteddfod wasn't that good because it took me 6 months to find a place and by that time I didn't have enough time to PR it well. Also there was only one of me. When we had the Premier Bard and a Working Officer we could get more done. It is not all on one person. Also the Working Officer would find an Autocrat for the event so now we had 3 people working on it. If you add in the MOAS then you could have 4 people promoting the event. It certainly makes sense there was more done at those events. willow ________________________________________________________________________ Try Juno Platinum for Free! Then, only $9.95/month!
