Did you know in Medieval France Minstrel were excommunicated but the 
Jonjour was not. The logic was the Minstrel pandered to the lowest of 
values while the Jonjour sang and told stories of Chivalry and virtue 
and honor. 

Also Jonjours got paid more. Jonjours were bought in to tell tale and 
sing songs of Knighthood at vigils.
