Dear fellow Bards

I have seen many upper ranking people and officers ask performers and 
bard etc their advice on things. Why? One it is historical accurate 
for Bards--etc to be asked these kinds of question, Two we get to 
more people's campsite and have our  hands on the pulse of the 
people. We hear lots of things. 

In the past nobles with bardic talents have made more of an impact on 
the culture of our SCA Kingdoms than nobles who didn't do bardic. 
Think about the impact Duke Inman, Duke Jonathan and Duke Miguel or 
Duke Mahidi, Duke Balder from Trimiris. 

Also many bards have made major impact on SCA culture Master Ivar 
Battle Skald--Born on the Listfield and Master Baldwin--Burden of the 
Crown. Master Ioesph of Locksey(misspelled his name) many works can't 
name them right now and Duchess Siglinda, and Master Iolo. 

We have a voice and it is important.
