This is a Dark Horde song. I do not know if Yang wrote it but he 
sings it on his tape. It was for this reason that the early 
Ansteorrans did not follow the custom of bowing to the throne. 
Another custom we did not follow was shouting "Clear". The same Dark 
Horde member that shared this song also shared the fact the Dark 
Horde had convinced the Middle that the Dark Horde was full of deadly 
marshal artist and if you pulled a knife and didn't shout 
"clear" they would lose their cool and kill you. The Dark Horde 
thought this was a great joke on the SCA and the middle.

Being good Texans and Oklahomans we knew how to handle weapons and 
thought yelling "clear" was silly and out of period. We believe it 
was up the the individual putting a weapon to make sure that the 
people around him/her were safe. We had seen idiots pull out a knife 
quickly without looking around assuming that yelling "clear" was 
enough. 


The Empty Throne
