i was asking this at dance
but theres a piece of music i have thats attributed to
arbeau
called Agno sa haravgi.
see here:
http://www.geocities.com/Vienna/Choir/9948/En_Repertoire.htm
hear it here:
http://www.geo.auth.gr/phonolites/music/agno_sa_xaravgh.mp3
i cant find it in my arbeau book so i was wondering
what dance this was for, if any. the arrangement
reminds me the catalan anthem "els segadors", if only
somewhat.
http://www10.gencat.net/gencat/binaris/himne_totsegad_tcm32-266.mp3
it may also be, since the lyrics of "agno sa haravgi"
are greek that its a greek translation of whatever
arbeau had it in french... im thinking.
according to my dictionary:
agnos=chaste/modest agnow=ignorant
sa=when/as soon as/if/like/as if
hara=joy/delight/glee/pleasure
hmmmmmm "ignorance is bliss"??
