When you say "a Cantiga tune" do you mean one of the Cantigas de Santa Maria, or a song the band Cantiga does? Many SCA choreographed dances get labeled pavannes incorrectly (Duchess Rhondalyn's for instance), and most pavannes were really just processional dances with little actual choreography. So we tend to prefer Almans which are also processional but with a bit more choreography typically. Do you know what pavannes the other groups are doing?</div>

<div>I'm going to let my dance ignorance show a bit- how many pavanes do we typically dance in the barony? We've fiddled around with Belle qui Tiens ma Vie, which Arbeau has choreographed as a pavane. What others? I ask because they're pretty popular in other groups, they should be easy on the knees, and they let the musicians play with some nice harmonies. <br>
