The full text is

Fielden, Feilden, Velden: William de la Felden 1286 Ipm (Wo). The
dative plural of O[ld] E[nglish] feld, 'one who lives in the fields'.

At the time, I saw an imaginary "from", but now I see that it's an
'is'. Hrethric said that he'd checked an Old English grammar to get
the right ending, which he believes is Feldas after {ae}t.
