[Blacklake] Chainmail armor

I will say that when I have worn it in the past that chainmail did NOT offer any protection from rataan sticks. It looks great but I beleive it is intended for edged weapons defense. Just my 2 cents.

So, I've been doing a lot of looking at various armor styles. Chainmail has peaked my interest some, but I would like to know the functionality of it. Is it recommended or legal in combat? Or do you wear leather armor under it? Thanks.
