Iain perhaps stuck his foot in his mouth by saying:

While you will usually find me to be an "absentee member" (I live in the Steppes), Bordermarch is, and will always be, where my heart remains. What's the difference? The people. There is no more honorable, friendly, warm group of people to be found anywhere on the globe, and I hope that in the months and years to come you begin to regard them as family. I regard them so, and have for many years.

Please understand, I don't mean to be "dissing" anyone or to imply that people elsewhere are less than friendly or honorable. People are people, both good and bad, wherever you go. And perhaps I'm just showing my own bias, which I'll freely admit is there. Regardless, I will always *claim* and believe the people of Bordermarch are some of the friendliest anywhere, and take a lot of joy and pride in that belief.

                                                                              In Joyful Service,

                                                                                              Iain MacCrimmon
