[Bordermarch] How is everyone? UPDATE

I talked to Angel/Kendra (Valencia's Angel) tonight - she & her fiance' came by the house after he got stitches in his leg. He works for the Forestry Service, & was cutting trees in the woods when the chainsaw slipped. Only 13 stitches; not a major accident. He was planning to go back to work tomorrow, abeit driving the truck instead of cutting the trees....

Valencia & her Charles rode out the storm in Hillister with Angel & her family. They left for home a few days after the storm; Valencia insisted on going home. When they arrived in Port Arthur, Charles got on the phone & arranged for her to leave immediately for her mother's home in Arkansas - where she remains. She is safe, the house was not damaged, & Charles is incredibly backlogged in his tree-cutting business.

I spoke to Charles/Chuck/Chuckles yesterday on our way home (we passed his crew a few minutes later, re-mounting a billboard on IH 10!!) He expressed the need for a welder's helper immediately. His house is fine, but no phone service there. If you need to get in touch with him, call his cell. (I have the # if anyone needs it.)

Glad to hear that most everyone is safe & well. Please, if at all possible, be at tomorrow night's populace - we ALL need to physically see one another to assure ourselves that we came through this with our family intact. Populace is at 7:00 pm at Gander Mountain in Beaumont (next door to Best Buy in the old K-Mart location, behind Wendy's & Ihop across from Parkdale Mall.)
