Lord Adolf almost got it right;
I do use the Mesopotamian calendar to schedule our populace meetings, but I believe only the Swedish check to see if the yak's fur is full!
What I do every fourth year on April 9th, which just happens to be Phil Geat's birthday may God rest his soul, is trim the bifurcated hoofs of the yak and turn them to ash in a copper receptacle that has been sintered over a smoldering feral cat dung fire.
When the yak's foot ashes are slightly cool to the touch I throw the whole thing, copper receptacle and all, into the nearest BFI waste container. I then slam the lid on the container shut and wait to see if any hoof dust makes its way out from under the lid.
If the dust makes it out and immediately settles on the ground, our populace will take place on the last Thursday of April.

Thanks to Lord Adolf the Semi-knowledgeable and Lady Padraigin the Unsure, we can rest assured that Populace will take place NEXT Thursday at Gander Mountain.

Since there is a small chance of rain this Saturday, it would be a great help if  you would bring those pop-up pavilions you've got stuffed in your closets to baronial this Saturday; just in case.
We've got some pavilions, but we'll not be bringing the BFT, and we'll also have some classes being taught that we would like to have under cover.
