Thanks for joining us at populace last night, it was a pleasure meeting and greeting you and your lovely Lady, and I hope we'll be seeing a lot more of ya'll around.

As far as combat with a staff goes, the answer is INDEED!

The staffs used for combat in the SCA are tipped for safety very much like the swords; they are just as deadly in the right hands. You and your friend must get over to armory and talk with Sir Simonn, he is most knowledgeable about all things pertaining to weapons, and has been nailed by just about all of them!
Bordermarch also has a Weapons' Master who goes by the name of Lord Zane. He is a bit out of pocket right now his new job and all, but when he does have a spare moment you can be sure he is creating a new fangled weapon for combat.

Do the Facebook thing with the Bordermarch Fighters group and you will learn more than you can imagine.

which I have no idea the answer or who to ask so I thought it best to ask

Is there staff combat?  Or is it strictly swords and shields (I know there's
bows as well but you get the point...)?
