Greetings all, near & far!

What a great Populace meeting we had; very well attended and I didn't end up
taking home even ONE cookie! Excellent work :)

Here are those kind folks who have volunteered time, goods, or other
services toward the Baronial Pot Luck dinner on the Friday Night of Melees
this year:

Red chili - Jillian
"Bladesong" Green chili - AmberLea
Pico de gallo - Biau-Douz
Rice - Tessa
Bread (possibly the breadbowls) - Slovacek
Salad stuff - Theresa
Cornbread - HE Elizabeth
Lemonade (5 gal!) - HE Santiago
Mystery Dessert - HE Elizabeth
Canned Corn - HE Santiago (the ever popular gift...we've made him promise to
buy NEW cans this year)

TE's have also promised several utensils, a stove, pots & pans and other
goods for populace use as needed to help outfit our cook tent.

We need more chili! I'll be cooking plenty, and Mother doesn't know how to
cook for less than a dozen, but for a true chili supper we needs lots of
variety! Mine is rather spicy, hers is chicken and green sauce, if you want
something different, make a pot! If you need storage pre-Event for your
promised dishes or goods, please let me know so we can find you a spot.

There are lots of other ideas to be had, read your Trumpeter (
http://www.bordermarch.org/Trumpeter/09SeptemberTrumpeter-2011.pdf) for
suggestions! You can also contact me for your commitments or help or more
ideas. We want everyone to be there, and will do whatever we can to help
all our family come share the good food and revelry of Bordermarch!

Don't forget, if you have good camp-cooking ideas or equipment or storage
space to lend for the weekend, it is very welcome. We hope to have several
ice chests for food storage as well as at least one large one just for
community ice. HE Elizabeth is working diligently on getting electricity to
our campsite this year (Santiago's ears may never be the same...) so we may
be able to make use of electric roasters, crock pots and other modern
goodies in our camp kitchen. Check back frequently for progress!
