Had a great populace meeting last night. Santiago was unable to attend due to a prior musical commitment at the Energy Museum Gala.
Thank you L Libby and L Ashley for the beautiful viking banner made especially for coronation feast. You did an outstanding job.
L Salina did a great job with "Who Am I" She gave us insight into her SCA life and many positions held as an officer. Thanks for all your hard work and dedication to the Barony over many years.
Discussed GW activities. 12-15 Bordermarchers attended. Different camping spot this year but kept it cozy and not as far to walk.
Thanks to all who attended, volunteered, took classes, entered A&S/brewing and generally had a good time. It was a blast spending a week with you all and getting to know you better. Hey lets do it again next year!!!
Congrats to L Zane who received two awards at Ansteorra's court, Queens Rapier and Sable Falcon.
A Courtly Dance Guild will be started on Friday evenings at the art studio. Classes will be taught by L Isabella della Rosa and be once monthly. The opposite Fri will be scribal and/or any other guilds that would like to meet. Sewing, brewing, pottery? Be watching the list and facebook for a starting date.
Several Bordermarchers will be attending Coronation April 11 & 12 in Kilgore to assist Countess Tessa and HE Charla provide feast to their soon to be Majesties and the populace. Any one interested in attending can contact Countess Tessa for more details.
Saturday April 26th is set aside for a shed clean out and inventory at site. Many hands you know....we will plan on cooking out for lunch and as always will gather for dinner at the Texas Star.
All officer reports are complete and up to date. L Nikoli is our new herald, thank you L Nikoli and hope you are feeling better each day and HE Theresa is our interim treasure. Thanks to L Thomas for holding the job for the last two years. Many blessings in your new endeavors at work.
May day is coming up soon. An idea was presented for a picnic in the park with fighter practice. Folks could wear garb and we would have a fashion show to display different personas and periods of garb. We will keep you posted as plans are made.
HE Theresa, L Libby and her family will be autocrating 12th Night 2015. Big plans have already been laid out like a hand fasting, mask and brisket contest. Bells and pillows will be a priority this year but no gift exchange. Any and all suggestions can be addressed to either ladies and I'm sure they will keep us updated as it gets closer.
We ended the night eating out and spending some quality time just visiting.
Hope to see more of you next month.
HE Elisabeth
