Thank you to all who have expressed your
congratulations to us on the birth of our daughter. 
We know you will understand that, with things being a
bit busy at the moment, it is difficult for us to call
all of our friends and share the news with them
personally, at least at for the next few days.

The official daddy rundown:

Eleanor Denise Segrest was born at 18:44 GMT massing
3.35 kilos and extending 48.25 cm.  For those of you
American provincialists who have difficulty with
metric, that would be just under 3/8 stone and a bit
over a cubit.

Mother and daughter are both doing wonderfully.  Dad's
all right too, but you weren't wondering that. 
Eleanor remained breech, and was dilivered by
Ceasarean section as planned, but did decide to
inflict a little labor as well, starting at about 3 in
the morning.  We were pleased to learn that she
corroborated our choice of a birthday.  She entered
our world butt first, a sentiment we also agree with.

We are still in staying at the hospital but may be
home tomorrow night, Friday at the latest unless
something unexpected occurs.  Guests are welcome
during the day, both at the hospital, and once we
return home, but please do call either me or Gretchen
before dropping in so that we can confirm that it will
be at a good time.

Again, thanks for all of the good wishes.  Although
our cheif joy at the moment is our daughter, the
kinship, friendship and love of this barony is not
lost upon us.
