Some folks are planning to attend Steppes Artisan this weekend.  This is
traditionally a fun event for artists and patrons alike because it encourages
everyone to share ideas while appreciating the work that is displayed:

Next Tuesday, August 29th in the park, Bryn Gwlad will be having our second
annual A&S tiny tourney being organized by Lady Elisabetta.   This is intended
as a low pressure / high enjoyment time to show each other what projects we are
working on or recently completed.

Laurels Prize Tourney will be on September 9th this year, in the gentle shire of
Seawinds.  This is my favorite of the Kingdom A&S events because there are many
opportunities for recognition.  It is also an excellent time to see what
everyone else in the kingdom is doing:

We are also asking our local artisans and guilds to please display their work at
the all-day demo we are planning in Wells Branch on September 16th.

Creative is the middle name of the SCA.  These upcoming events and gatherings
will be great times to celebrate our creativity!
