[Bryn-gwlad] Combat Archery Authorization for Baronial

Just like for all other venues you must get to know the rules, work with
someone preferably at a local level to get comfortable with the equipment and
reality of the rules, then get with an authorizing marshal to get 'tested'
both on and off the field.

The problem with combat archery and siege is there are *very* limited venues
and authorizing marshals to be able to do this. We have been trying to work
through this issue for some time now and it is not a new problem.

Can someone get authorized by the fall event? With previous combat
authorization and melee experience it is definitely a possibility as a
combatant, but unlikely without dedication to become a marshal. Besides Gothic
there is planned to be melees on the Sunday of Drachenstich.

While one can gain experience at non-official practices, authorizations can
only be done at official events/practices where the specific activity has been
*published* as occurring in advance.

Ciao,

He did say that it might be accomlished in a week, like at at war, that might
take 5 or 6 days.

So if it takes at least 5 or 6 days of practice, we might have just enough
time if we got started now. And in between there is equipement to work on.

Can anyone tell us what the process is so we can get started?
