Actually, William, our 'biggest event of the year' is arguably 
Candlemas. After all, that's our barony's 'reserved' event. And we're 
not trying to do everything there, either.

And this decision wasn't at all about excluding sections of our populace 
from any events, but more about letting us do fewer things at any given 
event, and thus do the things we do better, as well as allowing our 
populace more time to actually enjoy our events, rather than running 
around like beheaded chickens.

It's regrettable that you feel excluded, but I assure you the rapier 
fighters don't generally feel that way, and there will be NO rapier 
fighting at Baronial. There will be an archery tourney of some kind, 
which may end up not being quite what the steward concieved in the first 
place. But there will be one, so hearing an archer complain about being 
'excluded' when the rapier folks aren't can seem a bit... odd.
