It's not that specific activities aren't included, it's that there is no
championship.  My understanding is that if someone wants to sponsor an
activity then all they need to do is bring it up to the Event Steward
and he will put it through the process.

Because that is what was proposed and decided upon. The Baron brought
items like this to the populace some time back because of us having
everything at every event and the answer was to not do that. As an
example, we aren't having rapier either.

Why do we have to have one OR the other?  There is plenty of space to do
BOTH!!!  I find it disappointing that there seems to be an exclusionary
sentiment, catering to only a single element, as opposed to including as
many as possible.
