[Bryn-gwlad] Stargate Yule

We've been thinking of going to Stargate Yule

fourty-six minute trip from our house, one way.  Google Maps  
<http://www.google.com/maps?q=2025+W.+11th+Street,+Houston,+TX> claims  
it'll take three hours and fifty minutes.  They both give the same  
directions--183 to 290 to 610 to Jester to Brice to 11th.  We've never  
driven from Austin to Houston.  Can somebody who's made the trip before  
comment on the actual time in transit?  (We habitually drive near--but  
not over--the maximum legal speed.)  Does anybody see any problems with  
the recommended route?

Is anybody else planning to go to the event who might like to carpool?   
There'd be three of us and a feast basket, and we'd consider either  
giving someone else gas money and riding with them or taking someone  
else in our car and accepting gas money from them.
