[Bryn-gwlad] Yule Revel Kudos and Thanks!

First and foremost, I would like to thank the People of Bryn Gwlad (indeed, everyone who attended!) for making the event. Though we have a number of helping hands to thank, it is this Barony that "makes" an event special. The swirl of elegant garb and the mingling of happy voices make it an event worth remembering, and this was truly one to remember.
Second, were considering stealing the Rec Center at Buescher State Park and putting it on Baronial land but we haven't quite figured out the logistics yet. The real question is whether the rangers would notice.

Thirdly, we know we are forgetting somebody. You literally can't put on even something as simple as a pot-luck without dozens of volunteers, and Bryn Gwlad truly is a place where "in service their is honor." So for those of you I've forgotten, just see yourselves as having more honor than anybody else. Or the check's in the mail. Or maybe our dogs ate it. I can't remember what I'm supposed to say here.

  Fourthly (and Forthly!)--
We'd like to extend our special thanks to the following:

  Plough – Brynhildr and Reynard.
Wassail – Samantha made a big bowful which Marion carried for the retiring of the plow. Thomas of Conway made his cinnamon version
Gate – Anna and Company.
Potluck Coordinator– Goldweard and Sharon and all those who took their frustrations out on the poor chickens.
Toffee - Dreda.
Clean-up - Alina and Company!
Calenigs – Vilhiálmr vetr (the kids did a great job singing their carol when they knocked on the door).
Children’s Gift Exchange – Coblaith and the Baron.
Mari Lwyd – Lionel and Lucia for horses’ skull. The Baron for his great skill, and some poor guy in a horse head suit who would have been better playing the other end of the horse.
Thomas of Conway – shed run, signs, and a great deal more!
Sharon of Conway and Company – decorating the hall.
Elisabetta – exchequer-type stuff.
Ysabeau, Alasa – games.
Lady Isabella - dance list, music and teaching.
Jehan, Brynhilder, Tara - making music throughout the day.
Everybody – potluck items (especially those who made Welsh dishes), dancing, gaming, retiring the plough, etc.
Lazlo for heralding.

and Baron Thomas for hosting Yule at Tenby.

We'd like to thank you all. Amata and I won't be coming to the next few Practices in the Park (due to holidays, etc.). We have given all that we had, mostly platters and plates and such, to Baron Thomas for any lost and found. And were certain that everything will find its way to the proper owner, either when you look for something else, or by the time you give up and buy a replacement. At least, that's the way it works here. Happy Holidays, everyone!

  Amata and Doug, Yuley Stewardi
